BMC Nationals 2008

So you're still trying to decide if BMCN is worth the trip?
Check out what these happy show-goers had to say about their experiences!

BMCN07 was my first national event. I was traveling and flew in to make the event, renting a Hertz Shelby. These national events are awesome! They're well planned, very professional and a ton of fun. Aside from touring and showing off your car with a huge group of like minded people, the friendships and group fellowship are something you simply have to experience.

Having attended all kinds of car show and car events over the years, one thing stood out to me as being very different from any other event I've attended. That was the compassion that was displayed towards everyone. Didn't matter what you drove, what you did for a living or whether you were young or old. If you were a BMC'er, you were an intricate part of this group and everyone made you feel welcome.

When people had troubles with their cars (which occasionally happens), everyone chipped in to help, offering tools, parts, or whatever it took. No one gets left out! I would encourage everyone to attend at least one of these National events. What you come away with can't be described, it can only be felt. And with what BMC08 has to offer, this will truly be the event of the year. Make it a priority to be there, you WON'T BE DISSAPPOINTED!!!

I have attended both the 2006 (Dallas) and 2007 (Nashville) Nationals and I can say without a doubt that I feel honored and privileged to be in a club that values excellence like BMC does. The cars I've seen are spectacular, and the members become best friends with shared memories of speed, power, laughter, and show-stopping black muscle machines. I would love my cars even if there was no BMC, but I wouldn't be able to sit in a chair in the middle of a parking lot in Dallas with my good friend Tyson Johnson and get to know each other, or share stories and faith and good times with Eric all the way to Nashville and back. Having my dream cars is amazing to me at my age, but sharing them with y'all in person at our National event is a celebration that just never stops making me smile. I registered BOTH my cars for '08 in Kansas City. Seems to me you ought to get one there! See you in Kansas City!

I've often been asked the question, "What does BMCN mean to me?" Everyone's been asked that question. Every member and every mod. And the answer's somewhat cliche. It means everything. This year I can put it into perspective for all of you. I wasn't supposed to be able to be back at BMCN last year - I had a career move that was supposed to set me back a year. And in October I took a chance. I risked my health, I risked my career, I risked all the success that I've accrued in this business for one chance. One chance to possibly drive down that road and be on that stage. I've heard the experts, the critics. I should be angry for the odds that were put against me. I thank the hand that was dealt me. Because maybe, in the back of my head I was a little complaceant. And then it was almost taken away. My dream, my livelihood was almost taken away from me. And I know what that felt like. I never want to feel that again. It made me fight. It made me hungry. It made me WANT to come back to BMCN. It made me WANT to be in the show in the BIGGEST event of them all. With the greatest group of people - a group of people I RESPECT for their accomplishments in this car enthusiast hobby. Simply put, BMCN is the top dogs fightin' it out for the top prize in Black Mustang Club. And I KNOW what it's like to get your hand raised on that day. And at BMCN, rest assured. My time will come again.

I remember a time watching them in the street and I would dream about what it was like just to live in that world. So I chased my dream. Now here I am. All grown up and proof that you're never too little to dream big.

The most important thing about this event is it brings out the best in everyone.

BMCN. The grandaddy of 'em all. On the grandest stage of 'em all. Where will you be?

I have been fortunate to be in a position to attend all three of the BMC National events so far and I can say without any doubt that if you can only attend one event in the year BMC Nationals would be the event to attend.

Nationals provide you the opportunity to meet and socialize with club members more so then the local car shows. Nationals is a multi-day event so you get to have breakfast, lunch and dinner with club members. You get to cruise with fellow club members, you get to wash your cars wtih them, you get to stay up late and get up early the next morning to attend the events. You get to form life long friendships with people that you may never have come in contact with at a local event. You get the possibility of meeting the people that you have been chatting with online. I have had so much fun at the last three Nationals events that I have vowed to attend every year no matter where the event might be located. A hurrican tried it's best to keep me from attending the first one but all worked out and I was able to attend and I very highly recommend everyone attending this event. It keeps getting better each year.

So please set aside the dates and plan on attending.

I have been a member of Black Mustang Club since December of 2005 and since my status of n00b has risen, i have realized how great of a family this place really is. I have friends from all over the United States and World that have begun in a simple online forum.

I recently attended BMCN07 at Nashville, TN and it was honestly one of the best times I had involving my mustang. From seeing all my buddies, meeting new members and terrorizing the streets of Nashville with our proud steeds, nothing can compare. All the events are very well planned, the atmosphere is professional and very welcoming and the lifelong friendship and bonds that you form with everyone is priceless.

I love my BMC family and proudly sport my "BLACKMUSTANGCLUB.COM" sticker on my windshield. I will continue to be a lifelong member and am looking foward to BMCN08!

BMCN 07 was our 2nd one and it was the best one so far. It was pretty special to us. One of the main reasons, and those that were there will remember this:

BMCN07 was during mine and Mark's 11th year wedding annv. And to top it all off it was in Nashville. When we got married we wanted to take our honeymoon in Nashville but at the time we could not swing the finances for it. When it was announced that BMCN07 was going to be in Nashville there was no way we were going to miss this. Well some sneaky people found out about it and planned a surprize for us. One (Becca) did the photoshopping of our cars and the number 11. Then Warren, Tyson and Becca (if iam forgetting anybody else I am sorry) went and had a cake made for us. You all do not know how much that touched us, we were floored. Pretty much speechless. It was special to spend our wedding annv with our BMC family but you all topped that with the cake. If you have never made it to a BMCN event you MUST go. There is nothing like it. BMC is truly our family.
